Shadows that strain the straining eye, emerge, dissolve, all around, the eyes that spy with little lies. Everything you see is mist, fog and smog that you must slog through, and find that what you came to find and thus continue to thread the web of mind that insists it exists. Then you hear them on the horizon, hoofs of a herd that breaks the silence of the morning mist and brings about the sound of day, the thing that's mrant to be the first thing for you to see. Night in the sky is, has been, will, again appear, just wait. Encoded in stars, our future spread out before us to read and predict the ins and outs of inevitable uncertainty. The edge is near, the edge is soft. Iris is mapped and universe is orderly filed, somewhere deep, in the cellars of the heart.

What is time?

Is it a sound? Is it a colour? A shift in hue that stretches through space? A rush followed by a sudden stop, a whisper in the ear that crawls down the spine? Does it fly too high for words to ensnare? Is it a web that is supposed to trap a moment in? Does it start with the flare of the sun, or emerges from the boundless void of the sky? Is It the secret drive of all things, a force unseen, not written in equations, displaced, forgotten, thus obscuring the path to solution, an illusion of lusting mind? Is it a name as seen on the other one’s screen, then sweeped off a touchscreen, expelled from electron's orbit, a photon bouncing from place to place, illuminating, announcing the start and the end of the byte? Is it a blind mule, sagging through mud, wasting away, onward, as snow covers its toiled tracks in endless fields? Is it the dream of an era, a primal scream announcing the birth of living matter, its entry into the unmoved, cold theatre of cosmos? Is it a life that has been, or is to happen still, in space that once echoed with information, now scrambled over the event horizon, the noise shared by us all?
